Stefan is so impotent and Elena is an idiot. The idea that Stefan would trust Damon to “take care of it” at this point is preposterous. And Elena still cares more about having a vampire boyfriend than the fact the people keep dying and she pretty much knows why but does nothing about it except stand by and hope that Stefan will take care of it.
